Kalai Illam | Architecture |Built project

“Kalai Illam” is a three-story residence in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Clients and architects worked together closely to create a structure with clean contemporary lines, Chettinad -influenced design elements, and a modernist look. In concrete and steel, with a sloped filler slab roof, the structure uses a combination of traditional and modern building materials inside and out. The interior is open, crisp, and brings together the charm of a traditional Tamil home.
