At our project site, House 14 on Governor's Island, we bolster the cooperation between humans, pollinators, seed dispersers, and pest controllers with spaces carved out of permeable and sustainable materials.

BioFacade | Graduate elective

The elective demanded an element of a housing project that could be mass-produced and customized.

I chose to customize the façade of the building using biomaterials. The deep façade blocks made of bio cement can interlock using mortise and tenon joints to create various patterns, simultaneously being the habitat for birds and moss.

Writer’s cafe is a house turned into a cafe and reading space. The priorities of the design were to create compact and minimal furniture units and design the interior spaces that reflect simplicity and provide a suitable environment for reading and small bites. The facade renovation was also carried out keeping in mind the site setbacks and maintaining a clean design style.

Asian paints | Design and renderings for catalogue

This unique project involved showcasing five different housing archetypes in Tamil Nadu for the yearly catalog of Asian Paints. The multinational paint corporation decided to switch to digital renderings in the wake of the pandemic. The process involved designing spaces and staging the spaces for renderings as well as working with the creative team on image composition and color palette decisions.

Urban Temple |Undergraduate thesis

My thesis on an urban was an attempt at reimagining a Hindu temple in terms of space requirements and formal expression while retaining its essence and cultural significance. Apart from being religious centers, temples were also spaces for social, educational, and cultural gatherings. Temples highlighted the architectural and construction advancement, wealth, and grandeur of an empire.
